Mrs. Gladys M. Edwards
February 4, 1927 - January 28, 2023
Gladys Mae (Stinson) Edwards, age 95, wife of the late Lawrence E. Edwards Jr. of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Born in Honaker, VA, she was a daughter of the late Stella Mae and John Ralph Stinson.
Mrs. Edwards attended Kennett Square High School. She was a loving and caring wife and mother, spending most of her time tending to her home and family. She was an active member, as well as the oldest member, of the Ebenezer Bible Chapel in Elverson. While living in Newmanstown, PA, she also attended the Lebanon Bible Fellowship Church.
Mrs. Edwards was an avid gardener, and she enjoyed reading and sewing. Along with her husband, she spent many winters in Florida at their vacation home. She was happiest when she was spending time with her family, and she cherished being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by four children, M. Joan, wife of Lenus Hostetter of Newmanstown, PA, Carolyn I., wife of Atlee Rinehart of East Coventry, Nancy M. Yarmush of Elverson, PA, and John D., husband of Christine Edwards of Lake Placid, FL; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence E. Edwards III, and three siblings, Charles "Buddy" Stinson, Hazel I. Smith, and John Ralph Stinson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her service at Ebenezer Bible Chapel, 289 Warwick Furnace Road, Elverson, PA on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Deane E. Boyd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Bible Chapel, P.O. Box 233, Elverson, PA 19520. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home.
